![]() VLC would solve the problem if it would make the software better within the scope of what it’s supposed to do. “Just cache it!” lol you don’t realize how silly you sound to anyone who does this for a living. GOM Lab offers a wide range of multimedia software, mobile apps, and web services, from video player to video editor, such as GOM Player, GOM Mix Pro, etc. An editor with millions of dollars of development that is literally outputting its own file format to enable every frame editable as a keyframe is not the same as a player.Ī player built with conversion to a format that allows frame by frame would increase the requirements to alienate 99% of users, which people asking for it don’t seem to understand. If I really needed stepback I would use a tool that allows it and realize what the tool is actually doing. To put it another way, what is MPC incapable of because it has a step back feature (that if you actually had experience with you’d realize does not work on every format) that VLC can do without any additional setup?įurther, I am a power user and can code my own software (and have, and professionals use it for video tasks), and taking the open source have built plugins and forks of VLC and guess what is not possible? This “easy” feature everyone demands. ![]() Stating that other software has step-back without realizing what that software is or does is mindblowingly silly, and shows that you have no clue regarding what software is capable of. ![]() ITT a bunch of “power users” who use the wrong software for editing tasks.
